The Baltic Regional Information and Analysis Centre (BRIAC) based in Kaliningrad is one of the regional offices of the Russia's Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) on the territory of Russia.

The research conducted by the staff of BRIAC aims to examine political and economic processes unfolding in the countries of the Baltic region. Special attention is paid to the problems of Lithuania, Poland, Germany, and the Kaliningrad region.

The research activities of BRIAC are a part of a broader line of Euro-Atlantic studies conducted at RISS.

Today RISS, which was founded in 1992 by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, is one of the leading research and consulting centres operating in the interests of the Russian authorities.
